Prior Year Free and Reduce Price Meal Benefits End September 27, 2019
If your student qualified for free or reduced meal benefits last school year, those benefits were extended into the first 30 days of the 2019-2020 school year. A new application must be completed each school year. Any application that is not completed and processed before September 27, 2019 will be changed to paying status. Families are held responsible for any charges that accrue between September 27th and when a new application is processed. Get your applications completed soon! Applying online is the fastest way to get your application processed (see links below), or pick up an application from your school's front office or kitchen staff.

Reduced = Free
Did you know that in the state of Colorado reduced equals free? Any student who qualifies for reduced price meals will get breakfast and lunch for free. That's because School Nutrition advocates have been working for more than a decade to expand the Smart Start Nutrition Program and Child Nutrition School Lunch Protection Act to cover all reduced price meals at all grade levels. This removes one more barrier for hungry students to receive healthy and delicious meals.

Want to make a difference for the students in the Littleton community? Donate to the LPS Nutrition Services Lunch Fund! The LPS Nutrition Services team serve more than 5,000 meals a day. Many of our students’ parents struggle to pay for lunches, but may not qualify for free and reduced priced meals. As a district, we are committed to ensuring all of our students receive a nutritious lunch every day to help them stay healthy and focused on learning. Money donated to the LPS Lunch Fund will help pay off outstanding balances on students’ lunch accounts and allow Nutrition Services to continue to feed all students every day.
If you would like to donate, please contact Debbie Smith: dcsmith[at]lps.k12.co[dot]us or 303-347-3360. Thank you for your generous support of our students!
